Hand additions: preparation and adding
Automill's Hand Additions module ensures every additive is prepared, verified and added with accuracy, traceability and full control.
Tagged to the order
Each bucket or bag is tagged with RFID that ties it to a specific recipe and order. Hand additions can be weighed off well in advance and identified easily by the tag.
Verified twice at the add point
Scanning the RFID or barcode tag verifies the bucket against the recipe that is running now, and a second check verifies the weight of its contents. The operator is told whether the addition is correct or wrong.
The hatch opens for the right addition only
The control system opens and closes the chute or hatch automatically when the correct hand addition is scanned.
Approval from a senior person
For an irregular occurrence or a process that needs higher authorization, an OTP code is sent by SMS to the assigned senior personnel for approval.

On the designated scale or scales.

The RFID tag links the bucket to recipe and order.

The bucket is verified and stored, or ready.
- Running order
The operator sees the current order and bucket list.

- Hatch opens
For the correct addition.
Preparing and managing buckets
Preparation
- Weighed off from one or multiple platform scales, depending on the client's setup
- Raw materials categorized so each is weighed at the correct location
- Weight verified by connecting directly to the platform scale
- A production schedule showing only the orders selected for hand addition preparation
Managing buckets
- A list of all full buckets already weighed off
- Scan a completed bucket to identify its contents
- Reassign a bucket to a new order with the same recipe if the order was cancelled
- Declare a bucket empty if the product spilled or must be discarded
- Multiple buckets for a single batch
